History of Elbossaa Model College, Epe
El-Bossaa Model College was founded in 2002 by a group of visionary educationists determined to address the declining standards in public schools. From its inception, the school was guided by a mission to develop morally upright and academically excellent youths in a disciplined learning environment.
Since opening its doors on Baptist Mission Street, Papa-Epe, Lagos, the college has offered both Junior and Senior secondary education. Its comprehensive curriculum integrates core academic subjects with vocational courses, religious studies, languages, and ICT, catering to the holistic development of students.
Elbossaa has also built a strong reputation for excellence. Notably, it was named one of the Top Secondary Schools in Epe LGA in 2019, acknowledging its commitment to quality in education awards.
A proud milestone was celebrated recently: the school marked its 20th anniversary, commemorating two decades of transformative education and student growth. Alumni describe the school as effectively “changing so many lives” and highlight its prize-giving tradition that rewards both academic and attitudinal excellence.
Today, Elbossaa continues to provide modern facilities — science labs, ICT suites, workshop spaces, a library, sickbay, chapel, and sports fields — and supports a vibrant array of clubs and co-curricular programs that cultivate leadership, creativity, and teamwork.
Summary: Founded with the vision of closing the gap in moral and academic standards, Elbossaa Model College has, over 20+ years, established a broad curriculum, grown into a respected institution, celebrated significant milestones, and continues to equip students with knowledge, values and leadership skills.
